As of this morning, Americans, you can now buy a Windows Phone 7 device online from the Microsoft Store, Dell or Amazon, as long as you're happy with either an AT&T or T-Mobile service plan. The lowest price seems to be $99 for the HTC Surround on Amazon, with an AT&T service plan -- but it looks like it's already on backorder.
Presumably you can also pick up a phone from your local AT&T and T-Mobile retail store, too. There's no sign of SIM-free, network-unlocked phone, alas.
